Ekphrasis: writing that comments upon another art form, for instance a poem about a photograph or a novel about a film.
Blues Guitarist
His head
bent in reverence to the muse as the music found his fingers and ears.
His heart
beat the rhythm of all music, all mankind, all history, all sorrow.
His hands
with these he drew the music from air and the pain from my body.
He folded my pain with his and with yours and together the knot of it he tied. Then he made a boat, raised the anchor, set the sail, and with his breath and with his song he set it free.
